Stauber Condemns Walz Administration’s Decision on Line 3

HERMANTOWN, MN – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) made the following statement after the Walz Administration's Department of Commerce announced their plan to appeal state utility regulators' decision earlier this year to approve Line 3.

"In what is becoming an all-too-familiar pattern, Governor Tim Walz has once again sided with extreme interest groups over working-class families across northern Minnesota. Rather than adhering to a senseless appeal by his Administration, I call on the Governor to make the correct, science-based decision and simply allow our stringent environmental process to function. Up north, hardworking union families expect the Governor to live up to his pledge of "One Minnesota." It is time for him to allow one of the most studied infrastructure projects in the State's history to move forward."
