Stauber Joins Western Caucus Podcast to Discuss Mining

Last week, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) joined Western Caucus Chairman Dan Newhouse (WA-04) and former United States Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt on the Western Caucus' podcast, A Voice for Rural America. 

The episode, "America Last: the Biden Administration's Approach to Critical Mineral Mining," discusses the Biden Administration's recent ban on mining in Northern Minnesota and the importance of domestic critical mineral production for a clean and secure energy future.

Northern Minnesota is home to the world's largest known undeveloped copper-nickel deposit. In January 2023, Rep. Stauber introduced the Permitting for Mining Needs (PERMIT-MN) Act to streamline the permitting process for mining projects nationwide to secure domestic mineral supply chains.
