Stauber Sends Letter to President Biden and Prime Minister Trudeau in Support of American and Canadian Truckers

March 4, 2022

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Pete Stauberannounced that he has sent a letter to President Biden and Prime Minister Trudeau in support of the truckers in the United States and Canada protesting vaccine mandates. He also expressed concern over the treatment of truckers, warning the leaders not to take action against individuals exercising their individual rights.

Congressman Stauber stated in his letter, "Personal medical decisions should be made between a patient and their doctor. These vaccine mandates are an unprecedented government overreach, and they are rightfully being protested. I agree with the sentiment shown by the protesting truckers and am greatly disturbed by the action taken against the protesters in Canada.

"The continued ostracization of individuals who do not wish to get the COVID-19 vaccine is discriminatory, plain and simple. It is my hope that you both will end COVID-19 restrictions and your push for vaccine mandates and allow freedom to once again be the tie that binds our two great nations."
