Stauber to Serve on Transportation and Infrastructure Committee

January 16, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) made the following statement after being named to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee in the 116th Congress:

"It is an honor to follow in the footsteps of my predecessors, Chairman Jim Oberstar, Congressman Chip Cravaack, and Congressman Rick Nolan, who all served on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee during their tenure in Congress. They worked diligently to improve our area's network of roads, bridges, ports, and airports. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the committee in the same bipartisan manner," said Stauber. "I also believe broadband is a critical component of our infrastructure and must be a priority going forward. As a member of this committee, I am especially committed to championing policies that will improve internet access for all Minnesotans as quick and reliable Internet is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity."
