Stauber Votes to Defend Women’s Sports from Woke Policies

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) voted to pass the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, critical legislation that will prohibit biological men from participating in women’s sports and protect the safety of female athletes. While this legislation passed the House, nearly every Democrat voted against it. 

Of this legislation, Congressman Stauber stated, “Title IX was established to give women and girls equal access to education and sports. Now, thanks to the woke policies of the left, the safety and integrity of women’s sports are under direct assault. It is a scientific fact that men and women have biological differences that make competing on the same sports teams unfair and potentially dangerous. As the father of two girls, I will not stand idly by while female athletes who have trained their whole lives are forced to compete against biological men. Men should not compete in women’s sports. Shame on the Democrats who are prioritizing the most radical in their party over hardworking female athletes who want to play sports safely and competitively amongst themselves.”
