WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) sent a letter to House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman James Comer, requesting a hearing to examine the growing operational issues at the United States Postal Service (USPS) and its inability to effectually serve rural America. This letter was sent in response to a rising number of complaints the Congressman has received from residents across Minnesota’s Eighth Congressional District.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) and Congresswoman Angie Craig (MN-02) reintroduced the Volunteer Driver Tax Appreciation Act to increase the federal tax deduction mileage rate for volunteer drivers from its current rate, 14 cents per mile, to be equal to the Internal Revenue Service’s business rate, currently set at 70 cents per mile.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) and Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) re-introduced the bipartisan Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act to ensure labor rights to all public safety officers. Specifically, this legislation will allow public safety officers to form a labor union, collectively bargain for hours and wages, and provide resolution mechanisms for impasses during negotiations.
