WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) introduced the Notice to Airmen Improvement Act to help improve aviation safety. Specifically, this bipartisan legislation would establish a Federal Aviation Association (FAA) taskforce to determine what improvements should be made to the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) system, which alerts pilots of potential hazards along a flight route or at a location that could affect the safety of the flight.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) introduced the American Workers for Security Act, which would help northern Minnesota's mining economy and strengthen national security by mandating that any barrier along the U.S. – Mexico border be made of steel produced in the United States. This bipartisan legislation follows Congress' recent appropriation of $1.375 billion to build a physical barrier at some of the most dangerous and porous parts of our southern border.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) introduced legislation to return the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) reservation portal on recreation.gov for nonmotorized and motorized boats back to the effective lottery system in place prior to the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) changing it to a first-come, first-serve basis. The Letting Outdoor Tourism Thrive for Every Recreation Year (LOTTERY) Act would require the USFS to switch the current first-come, first-serve reservation system back to a lottery system by 2020.
