HERMANTOWN, MN – Last night, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) sent a letter to Governor Walz, demanding that he work with state legislative leaders to provide Greater Minnesota with their share of federal funds allocated by the CARES Act over twelve weeks ago. While Minneapolis and St. Paul received funds from the CARES Act months ago, local governments in Greater Minnesota have received nothing to date.

WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08), a former law enforcement officer of over twenty years, announced the introduction of his police reform legislation titled the Just and Unifying Solutions to Invigorate Communities Everywhere (JUSTICE) Act.

This legislation will tailor the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to ensure it will better meet the needs of businesses across Minnesota and the nation that are facing different obstacles and circumstances. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) and Congresswoman Cindy Axne (IA-03) introduced the COVID-19 Dependent Care Flexible Spending Arrangement Rollover Act of 2020 to prevent parents across the nation from losing money saved for childcare because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This legislation would allow the funds already saved in the Dependent Care Assistance Plan (DCAP) to rollover from 2020 to 2021.

"During today's weekly Congressional delegation conference call - and as his Administration reviews the health and economic data prior to tomorrow's anticipated announcement - we urged Governor Walz to allow the current stay-at-home order to expire in full on Monday, May 18, 2020.
