HERMANTOWN, MN – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) joined EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler in announcing that the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission has been selected to receive a Brownfields Assessment Coalition Grant worth $600,000. The Cities of Two Harbors, International Falls, Cloquet, Grand Rapids, and Cohasset, and Aitkin County – all within Minnesota's Eighth District – are considered coalition partners and have prioritized locations where the funding will be considered.

In doing so, the Securing America's Critical Minerals Supply Chain Act will help put an end to America's dependence on unreliable foreign nations like China for critical minerals that power our economy.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) voted for the Paycheck Protection Program and Healthcare Enhancement Act to provide an additional $484 billion in relief to support small businesses, hospitals, and increased testing. Specifically, this package gives $310 billion to replenish the Paycheck Protection Program, which was created by the bipartisan CARES Act and has been providing relief to American businesses and workers negatively impacted by COVID-19. Funding for this popular program ran dry last week.

HERMANTOWN, MN – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber announced over $27 million in funding to assist airports throughout Minnesota's Eighth Congressional District amid the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds were made available through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and can be used by airports to help pay for operating costs including payroll for employees.
