WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) announced the introduction of the Motor Carrier Safety Selection Standard Act, legislation to require the Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to establish a national safety standard for brokers and shippers who contract with motor carriers for the transport of goods.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) introduced the Modifying Allocations to Improve Local Service (MAIL) Act, legislation to improve mail operations in Minnesota by requiring the United States Postal Service (USPS) to redistribute the $3 billion in funding originally appropriated for their acquisition of a new fleet of electric vehicles to support the hiring and retention of rural postal employees. These funds were made available through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This National Police Week, the House of Representatives passed Congressman Pete Stauber’s (MN-08) resolution acknowledging the unwavering bravery of America’s law enforcement officers in spite of the animosity and increased violence directed toward them as a result of the extreme Democrats’ “Defund the Police” movement.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Congressman Pete Stauber’s (MN-08) bill to restore energy development on Alaska’s North Slope passed the House of Representatives. The Alaska’s Right to Produce Act will reverse the Biden Department of the Interior (DOI)’s decision to prohibit oil and gas development on 13 million acres within the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A).

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, the House of Representatives passed the Trust the Science Act, legislation Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) cosponsored to permanently delist the gray wolf in the lower 48 states and ensure this decision is not subject to judicial review.
